I’m Paulie Dhillon. I am an interior designer based in Surrey, British Columbia. I serve the Lower Mainland region including Vancouver, Richmond, New Westminster, Burnaby, Surrey, Langley, White Rock, TriCities, Abbotsford, and surrounding areas.

My job as a designer is to listen and learn, to be kind and patient and come up with design solutions that will help you live better and more beautifully.

Over the last 10 years, I have successfully completed dozens of projects, including high-end residential new builds, complete renovations, single room furnishing and styling projects and interior design consultations.

My clients rely on me to create a vision for their space then curate every selection and manage the hundreds of details needed to lead a project smoothly from start to finish.

My work often includes custom design such as creating bespoke furniture, custom millwork, custom architectural details (interior and exterior), custom flooring and tile details, custom stair case design and custom window details.

My absolute favorite aspect of my work is finding unique, signature items for my clients. No two humans are alike, why would our homes be? You deserve so much better than a cookie cutter space!

My design approach is based on asking the right questions and creating a relationship of trust where information flows easily. Getting to know my clients is the best part of my job. Understanding their unique lifestyle helps me create a space that is perfectly tailored for them. My aesthetic is not trend driven. Instead, I create interiors that have staying power so that my clients will continue to admire their space for years to come.

I have a keen understanding of the entire construction process, from foundation to finishing details. I am just as comfortable on a construction site as I am in a refined, finished space. Design is about solving problems, and I am a relentless problem solver.

I thrive in a collaborative environment, working with skilled trades and established vendors that see their work as their craft. Our common goal, regardless of project size: to deliver the highest quality project to our clients on time and on budget.

My Journey into Design

I began my design career as a nursing student. Sounds odd, I know, and I wasn’t aware of it at the time. Turns out nursing was NOT my calling. Sure, I wanted to help people, I wanted to fix problems and improve lives BUT watching people suffer and endure pain or discomfort…THAT I could not handle. Holding the same values, I transitioned into Sociology and set my sights on the field of Social Work. I loved learning about social interactions and relationships and gained many insights into the nuances of life, behaviors and cultures. I would later come to value those skills and insights as an interior designer facing complex projects and unique, dynamic personalities.
